Feeding the Body

How can you feed someone's spirit if their belly is growling?

Feeding the physical body of the church has always been a priority for Church in the Alley.

But as a direct result of the troubled economy, the need for community outreach expanded in 2012, and families have been rescued from the streets because of the prayers and financial support of Church in the Alley members and supporters like you.

We have faithfully served over 4500 hot chicken meals this year on the first Saturday of every month, through a cooperative effort with Oxnard Albertson’s Supermarket. We have also expanded our feeding every Sunday after services through the help and cooperation of the Valley Food Bank; an average of 250 hot dog lunches are served every Sunday, bringing the average feeding by Church in the Alley to 1350 meals a month! This is where our church community is serving the community of Oxnard, selflessly and truly in the spirit of Christ!
