The body of Christ in the New Testiment is not described as a place you go to have professional clergy perform religious services for you. The body of Christ in the New Testiment is that we are all the temple of the Holy Spirit and we have all received gifts that connect us and give us life in the church. It doesn't matter if you sleep in a river bed and pan handle for Starbucks or if you make more money than Bill Gates and have people for all your menial tasks, your place is not "... riding the pine ..." it is rightly fitting together with those God has placed you for the purpose of being the body of Christ. I say ... DON'T GO TO CHURCH ... BE THE CHURCH. That means we come together to serve eachother with the gifts God has given us. That means that when we are not together, we are seeking the Lord asking, "What do you have for me to give ... ?" It could be an encouragement, or a song, or a teaching, or finances. Maybe the Lord wants you to listen to someone that is difficult to listen to, or hug someone that is unpleasant to hug. Ask the Lord, of course, but ACT! If you don't for the Kingdom, who will?
